It is my belief that a web page should be made readable to anyone who has access to the internet. Regardless of what browser the person is using, be it a text browser, GUI browser, or others, a web page should be made readable.

Any special effects added to the page should not hinder the surfer who cannot see it from viewing the contents.

I admit that I do not completely adhere to the standards. There are some pages of mine that I did for experimental purposes therefore only the privileged few can view them. And then there are browsers who implements the standards differently. However, I do make sure that most of the pages that I work on for general viewing can be viewed by most browsers (without much change in the layout or content) that are available.
